Remember those great School House Rock! jingles from the 70’s that taught us about conjunctions, our Constitution, the American Revolution, how a bill gets passed into a law, etc.?  Little ditties that were usually fun to sing along to (or we just couldn’t get the songs out of our heads) – but we learned so much without even realizing it.  Thanks to YouTube, I discovered that School House Rock has lessons on money too!  Here’s just one that offers some great advice in a fun way to help kids learn about and contribute to balancing a family budget.  Enjoy

I loved School House Rock growing up, and as a student teacher in PA (about 8 years ago) I used one of they “ditties” to teach a 3rd grade class about money during a math lesson I had to prepare!
