Only 6 Mondays left until the holidays are here – need a tip (or two) to help you and your family control spending this holiday season, regardless of the holiday you observe? Here’s the next installment of my 10 weekly tips.  Remember, only 6 Mondays to go…

Holiday Planning Tip of the Week: Monday #6 – November 6 – November 12 . . . Find a family memento

Walk around the house and look carefully at what you have. Do you have a family memento that you know another family member would love to have? There’s a gift. A meaningful and truly memorable gift. My mother-in-law kept journals in tiny little steno books when she would travel. Reading them is like hearing her all over again, but it’s her handwriting that washes over me as I read. I get her back for the duration of the read. These steno books are heading to her daughter, my sister-in-law, this holiday. They belong to her. She will cherish them – a gift that will make a very happy holiday for her.
